Pocky – Share Happiness

I was enjoying one of my favorite childhood snacks as I was doing a bit of studying earlier today. I wanted to share a few of my thoughts and posted them to my Instagram account. I’ve shared them again below.

Pocky Matcha Green Tea Cream Covered Biscuit Sticks

One of my fondest childhood memories are of the times that my grandparents would drive my brother and me to the Thai supermarket in Hollywood. The trips there were always filled with jokes and laughter teetering towards annoyance as my brother and I entertained each other. The return trips home would be even better because we were allowed to eat one of the snacks we purchased from the store as we traveled home. I typically chose Pocky and a drink box of either chrysanthemum tea or soy milk. Now that I’m an adult, I’m able to buy as many boxes of these as I want and there are so many different flavors to choose from! I also love that my children love Pocky. It is in the feeling that I get watching them enjoy these slivers of happiness from my childhood adventures with my grandparents and bringing my past and present full circle.
